Baba Charlie Nyonya Kuih was established in 1988 in Malacca.

They started off as a door-to-door business and became one of the leading traditional Nyonya kuih manufacturers in Malacca today.

  • Ban Lee Siang Satay Celup
Satay Celup is a unique food experience that can only be found in Malacca. It involves dipping a skewered food of your choice into a boiling hot pot of spicy peanut sauce right in the center of the table.

And Ban Lee Siang is one of the oldest original Satay Celup restaurants in Malacca. They’ve been around for over 20 years and they still attract a crowd especially in the evenings and weekend.

Restoran Tong Sheng is established in 2009 and run by a father (Master Lee) and son (Chef Lee). This is a Chinese cuisines restaurant with well known dishes ‘cheesy prawn meehun’ and ‘fresh milk crabs’.

Because it is a famous restaurant, there is a queue most of the time. So it is advisable to reach early or maybe have it on weekday to avoid the crowds.
 
  • Putu Piring Tengkera
Putu Piring is one of the iconic Kuih for Malaysians. It is made by steamed rice filled with ‘Gula Melaka’ and topped with slightly salty grated coconut.

Putu Piring Tengkera is operating by a family for many years and is still highly sought after by locals and visitors from outside Malacca. This shop currently only operates in the afternoon from 1pm to about 3pm or maybe earlier if ingredients are sold out.

This immobile food stall is one of the earliest food stalls selling popiah in Malacca. As time goes by, it has gained a reputation not only amongst the locals but also the tourist visiting Malacca.
